2 packages.. holy cow!

So like usual, we fear to have any mail, because its usually just another bill. And who really likes to pay bills. But last week was different. We looked into our very tiny mailbox (everything is tiny here) and saw that we had not one, but two packages that we had to pick up at the post office (la poste, bien sur!). So after we picked up our packages, we had to open them up right away. Like I said, this is a rare thing :) so we've got to be excited about it. Any ways, one was from my Sister and Fam. and the other from Crispin Webb (crispinwebb.com). Ok, well something like two weeks ago, celine talked to Crispin online and he said that he had found a couple bibles in the dumpster. Don't ask me why he was in the dumpster. Any who here in france, there is little to know christians. So obviously we don't go to church. So any ways celine had thought she had left a bible here in france. But no. So Crispin sent us one so now we can do our divotions and what not. Thanks Crispin. But I have to admit, this bible was in pretty good shape to be found in a dumpster.
Then the other package was from my sister. She had asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and being in the land of eating, I of course had to ask for.. thats right more FOOD. Well being in France, we have alot of really, really good french food. But somethings I just need that greasy salty, over sugared american food. So I asked for the basics. Funyuns, Almond m&m's, Reeses cups, Slim Jims, and of course stove top stuffing. This package wasn't open 5 secs before i dove in and tried a little of everything, but the stove top. We're saving that for our own little thanksgiving.
For some reason, when ever I go overseas, I always seem to crave some of the food that is normal to me. And yes I usually head to Mc Donalds (pernounced Mac Donalds) when I get back to the US. They have Mc Do here but its not the same. I guess you'd have to be over seas to truely understand.

Circuit des remparts

So there's this race that is a pretty big deal here. Its called the "Circuit des remparts". In this race people from all over the world (mostly Europe of course) come and bring their cars that they had pretty much built or bought for alot of money. They are usually old fashion cars, porches, ferraris etc.. I have a bunch of pictures up in my photo gallery, so go ahead and take a look. They are really old but really cool (and loud). Now I know what your saying.. WHAT AN AWEFUL VIEW!

So its sunday, the big day has finaly come for the race. Part of the race will be going right past our windows view, so naturally we are excited about this. 8:30 am, we here aload noise, it has begun, so we go to the window to see... a blue cover. Who the heck put up a cover so no one can see. I now realize its a payonly race. This sucks. we have to deal with the noice of the race all day, and we get nothing not even a good view. Well I was planning on getting a really good set up of this race to put on video, but that didn't happen. But at least you can see abit of where we live. So we ended up leaving for the day, much like our neighbors, because it was just really loud all day.

For all you Magnum P.I. Fans!

Well as I already knew the Complete first season of Magnum P.I. is out on dvd. But today I looked into it a little further, and saw that season two has already come out. Where have I been, sometimes its hard to get the important news here in France. And yes, there is also talk about the 3rd season coming out just in time for Christmas. So for all you who haven't already got that perfect gift for me, you might want to take some notes here :)

I've wasted a good part of my day uploading these pictures to an online photo gallery. In hopes of course that people may actually look at them. I never reliezed we have taken so many photos, its crazy. This is just a good amount of them. Hopefully I will be dispaplened to keep adding to the Photo gallery as well as this BLOG site. Well its been 6 months... Almost!

Well its been about 6 months, about over half of our trip here in france.. AND YES, i'm just now starting this blog thing. Not that I know any body that may look at it, maybe i'll just keep myself entertained.
